Publication Ethics and editorial declaration of good practices

The editorial team of ANNALS of the IAA is committed with the scientific community in order to guarantee both the ethics and quality of the articles published therein.

Our journal has as a reference the Code of Conduct and Good Practices, defined by the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors of scientific journals. It also guarantees an adequate response to the needs of both readers and authors, thereby ensuring the quality of publications, protecting and respecting the contents of the articles as well as the integrity thereof. The Publishing Committee is committed to publishing any corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies whenever required.

In compliance with these good practices, ANNALS of the IAA has in place a system of selection of articles that are revised by expert evaluators. ANNALS at all times guarantees the confidentiality of the evaluation process, the mutual anonymity of both evaluators and authors, the content subject to evaluation, the reasoned report issued by the evaluators and any other communication issued by the editorial, advisory, and scientific councils as appropriate. Likewise, confidentiality shall be kept in respect of any possible clarifications, claims, or complaints that any author may wish to send either to the committees of the journal or to the evaluators of their article.

ANNALS of the IAA does hereby declare its commitment to the respect and integrity of the works already published. For this reason, any act of plagiarism is strictly forbidden and any texts identified as plagiarism or the contents thereof were to be deemed fraudulent, shall be removed from the journal if already published or shall never be published. The journal shall act in all these cases with its best possible promptness.

By accepting the terms and conditions expressed by our journal, the authors shall guarantee that both the article and any materials associated therewith are original in nature and do not infringe any copyrights whatsoever.

They shall also declare, in case of any shared authorship, the full consensus of all the authors involved.
